The Four Tiers

Marie's service offering should follow a clear escalation path. Each tier feeds the next — clients who start with a free call naturally progress to paid advisory, then to project work.

Tier 0 — Discovery Call

Free (30 minutes max)

What it is: A screening conversation to understand the client's situation and determine if there's a fit. See full call script →

What Marie does:

  • Listens to what the client wants to achieve (pop-up? permanent? brand activation?)
  • Asks about their space, budget range, timeline, and target audience
  • Shares 1–2 relevant examples from her own experience (Beirut setup, London space)
  • Explains the different service tiers available
Hard rule: The discovery call is NOT a strategy session. Marie should never solve the client's problem for free. If the conversation starts turning into "how should we structure the residency?" — that's Tier 1. Redirect: "That's exactly what we'd cover in the advisory package. Let me send you the details."

Tier 1 — Remote Advisory Package

€3,000 – €4,500 / 6-week program — pricing justification

What it is: A structured advisory program delivered remotely (Zoom). Marie diagnoses the client's situation, designs a roadmap, and guides them through the early decisions.

Format: 6 weekly 60-minute sessions + email support between calls

Deliverables:

  • Session 1: Audit — understand space, brand, goals, constraints, budget
  • Session 2: Concept — residency model design (duration, disciplines, artist profile, programming)
  • Session 3: Operations — logistics, studio setup, housing, materials, welcome process
  • Session 4: Programming — exhibition calendar, open studios, workshops, community events
  • Session 5: Artist sourcing — selection criteria, open call design, network activation
  • Session 6: Launch plan — timeline, marketing approach, partnerships, measurement

Final deliverable: A written Residency Blueprint document (10–15 pages) that the client can execute independently.

Best for: Someone with a space and a vision who needs expert guidance but wants to run it themselves.

Effective rate: 6 hrs live + ~6 hrs prep = €250–€375/hr — aligned with mid-tier specialist benchmark.

Tier 3 — Long-Term Partnership

€4,000 – €6,000 / month retainer — pricing justification

What it is: Ongoing creative direction and management of a permanent or recurring artist residency program.

What's included:

  • Everything in Tier 2, on a rolling basis
  • Seasonal programming design (artist rotation, exhibition calendar)
  • Continuous artist sourcing, vetting, and onboarding
  • Brand integration guidance (how the residency feeds the client's marketing, content, events)
  • Quarterly reviews and program optimization
  • Network access (introductions to galleries, curators, press in Marie's network)

Minimum commitment: 6 months

Best for: Hotels running year-round programs. Luxury brands with ongoing cultural initiatives. Developers with multiple properties.
